The former name of Feodosia is Kafa. It's a really old town that dates back to XII-XVIII centuries A.D. There was the Crimean biggest slave market in Kafa at those times. You will see ruins of ancient towers that witnessed life of the medieval Crimea.
Now Feodosia is a popular recreation place with wonderful sandy beaches, lots of cafes and restaurants.
A famous Russian painter of seascapes Ayvasovsky lived in Feodosia for a long time. His gallery is a "must see" now. And you should definitely visit Kara Dag. It is an extinct volcano known for its natural beauties. Kara Dag is a National park and protected by the Ukrainian government. It is very nice to have a boat trip around the volcano in summer time. And there's a very famous "nude beach" there.

Accomodation in Feodosia
There is an old-style hotel in Feodosia which is located exactly across the street from the railway station. The rooms are "not excellent" but if you are lucky, you'll find one with hot water. It would be better if you stay in a private apartment and we will certainly help you find it!
